Realtime Despatch welcomes Douglas Myatt as our new Head of Business Development

We’re delighted to welcome Douglas Myatt to the Realtime Despatch team in a new role as Head of Business Development.

With more than 25 years’ experience in sales and marketing, Douglas has been brought onboard to help Realtime Despatch win new business. He’s tasked with building on our success in the 3PL and retail sectors, spreading the word about the OrderFlow platform and the services we offer.

Douglas will work with new prospects to understand their requirements and identify how we can help 3PLs and retailers get more from their warehouse operations.

“I am very excited about the services Realtime Despatch has to offer,” says Douglas. “I believe the business is particularly relevant to the current market with more consumers switching to online channels. I’m looking forward to using my consultative sales approach to help organisations meet the new challenges of a rapidly changing marketplace.”

A wealth of experience in complex sales

Douglas has a wealth of experience in complex sales. In the past he’s set up and run a sales team that sold highly configurable software solutions to multi-site organisations for warehouse management and distribution of their print and merchandise.

His experience of complex products, and long sales cycles which rely on establishing long-term relationships, is all directly relevant to the sort of collaborative partnerships we seek to establish with our customers.

“I’m delighted to welcome Douglas into the team and look forward to working with him,” says Charlie Armor, Managing Director of Realtime Despatch. “The current Covid crisis has presented our sector with a once-off opportunity to help businesses respond to a rapidly changing business landscape. Douglas’ experience and enthusiasm has allowed him to make a flying start and we’re already seeing the impact of the work he’s doing.”
