We’re very pleased to welcome Ishan Weerakkody to the Realtime Despatch team, where he will be working as a service delivery consultant.
As well as having excellent technical skills, Ishan has a wealth of experience in the warehousing and fulfilment sector. For the last two and a half years he worked as an IT manager for an Essex-based third-party logistics firm (3PL), where he gained first-hand experience of the technical challenges faced by our customers and the pressures under which they operate.
In this role Ishan managed all the company’s IT supplier relationships, and served as the key technical contact in all new customer take-ons. He introduced major improvements to the warehouse processes and also found time to build a reporting portal that was used by all the business’ customers.
Prior to that, Ishan worked for 15 years in a variety of technical roles, both as an IT manager and a software developer. Originally from Sri Lanka, Ishan has been living and working in the UK for the last 10 years.
We look forward to introducing Ishan to our customers in the coming months – both in person during on-site visits and through our ticketing system, where he will be answering questions, responding to issues and providing help wherever it’s needed.
